On October 27 local time, Xu Lu, Deputy General Manager of CEEC, met with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev in Baku. The meeting was also attended by Qiao Xubin, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Energy China International.

Mr. Mustafayev thanked CEEC for its contributions to Azerbaijan’s green and sustainable development. He noted that China-Azerbaijan ties have been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership and are now at an all-time high, ushering in a new era of bilateral cooperation. “As a global leading company in energy, power, and infrastructure, CEEC possesses outstanding comprehensive strengths, offering broad prospects for cooperation between the two sides. The Azerbaijani government will continue to firmly support CEEC’s investments and projects in Azerbaijan,” he said, expressing hope for concrete progress in energy transition and infrastructure to further enhance two-way trade and economic links.
Xu Lu underlined that CEEC highly values the Azerbaijani market. “Following the roadmap agreed upon by our leaders, we are working closely with relevant Azerbaijani ministries on power-sector planning, the Green Energy Corridor initiative, and water projects to accelerate project development and achieve early completion,” he said.
