Two CEEC-designed Photovoltaic Projects Go into Operation

On April 29, the Thazi 40MW and Thapyaywa 40MW Photovoltaic Projects in Myanmar were officially put into operation. China Energy Engineering Group Yunnan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. engaged in the survey and design of the two projects throughout the process.

Upon completion, the two photovoltaic projects, currently the largest photovoltaic power generation projects in operation in Myanmar, will generate an average of 200 million kWh of electricity annually. This will greatly alleviate Myanmar’s power shortage, advance the country’s green and low-carbon development, support regional economic development, and ensure electricity supply for local residents.
