On December 5 local time, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended and addressed the launch and ground-breaking ceremony of Uzbekistan’s major energy projects at the Tashkent City International Convention Center. The Lochin 150MW/300MWh Energy Storage Project and the Chiz 100MW/200MWh Energy Storage Project, invested and developed by China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., were showcased as representative projects.
In his address, President Mirziyoyev highly praised the achievements of Chinese enterprises led by CEEC in Uzbekistan’s energy-infrastructure and investment sectors. He noted that, after completion, the projects will accelerate the country’s green-energy transition and deliver tangible benefits to the Uzbek people, embodying the high-level comprehensive strategic partnership and deep mutual trust between Uzbekistan and China.
