On December 1 local time, the handover and donation ceremony for the first batch of “CSG Knowledge & Action Libraries” was held at Nongbing Primary School in Vientiane under the theme “Lighting Up China–Laos with Electricity, Connecting the Future with Books.” The event was hosted by Electricité du Laos Transmission (EDL-T). Mr. Sommad Pholsena, Vice President of the National Assembly of Laos, and Dr. Daravone Kittiphanh, Vice Minister of Education and Sports, Lao PDR, attended the ceremony. Energy China played an active role in the public-welfare education initiative by mobilizing China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Yunnan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Yunnan Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd. and other subsidiaries operating in Laos to donate funds and supplies. Energy China International, together with other Chinese enterprises and institutions, donated more than 5,000 items, including bicycles, school supplies and sports equipment, valued at approximately RMB 750,000.

By continuing to fulfill its responsibilities as a Chinese central enterprise and vigorously capitalizing on existing energy cooperation in Laos, CEEC will collaborate with other Chinese investors to deepen public-welfare engagement and support local education, in a bid to advance mutually beneficial ties and contribute to the building of a China–Laos community with a shared future.
