CEEC’s Two Flagship New Energy Projects Unveiled at Uzbekistan’s National Key Project Commissioning Ceremony

On August 25 local time, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan hosted a national commissioning ceremony for newly completed projects. Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the event and delivered an address. As leading representatives of Uzbekistan’s key new energy projects, the Navoi Integrated Energy Project and the Chizh Energy Storage Project, both invested and constructed by China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., were featured at the ceremony via video link.

In his address, President Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to CEEC and other enterprises and builders at the ceremony. He noted that the investment and commercial operation of a series of new energy projects have strongly advanced Uzbekistan’s green energy transition, created substantial employment opportunities, and tangibly promoted local economic and social development as well as improvements in public welfare.

The Navoi Integrated Energy Project is Uzbekistan’s first large-scale, integrated new energy benchmark project, and also the first new energy project in Central Asia to employ fully automatic intelligent robots for installing photovoltaic modules. The Chizh Energy Storage Project is a key new-type energy storage project invested and constructed by China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. in Uzbekistan, with a total installed capacity of 100 MW/200 MWh.
