On August 15 local time, the Navoi Integrated Energy Project in Uzbekistan, invested and constructed by China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), successfully completed reverse power transmission, marking the official entry into the live commissioning and full-system integrated testing phase.
The Navoi Integrated Energy Project is Uzbekistan’s first large-scale, integrated new energy benchmark project, and also the first new energy project in Central Asia to employ fully automatic intelligent robots for installing photovoltaic modules. With a total investment of approximately USD394 million, the project officially broke ground in September 2025 and comprises a 300 MW photovoltaic power station and a 150 MW/300 MWh energy storage system. Upon completion, the project is expected to generate approximately 750 million kWh of clean electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.61 million tons per year, injecting stable and sustainable green momentum into Uzbekistan’s energy transition and power security.
