On October 16 local time, Qiao Xubin, Chairman of Energy China International, attended the first meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors in the Fuel and Energy Sector of Uzbekistan in Tashkent upon invitation as a representative of Chinese enterprises. He engaged in direct dialogue with government officials and investors regarding strategic priorities for industry development, jointly advanced the smooth implementation of projects, and actively explored new cooperation opportunities. The meeting was presided over by Uzbek President Mirziyoyev.
At a post-meeting symposium for Chinese enterprise representatives, Qiao Xubin - one of three such representatives - held an in-depth discussion with President Mirziyoyev. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Mirziyoyev for the long-term support provided to Energy China and stated his willingness to deeply engage in the top-level planning of Uzbekistan’s new power system, support the construction and digital upgrade of the backbone power grid, promote the implementation of new technology demonstration projects such as grid-forming energy storage, wind-solar-storage integration, and “green power + computing power,” and actively advance a science-based, phased localization strategy to further support Uzbekistan’s green power development.
