On August 8, China Energy Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan on investment cooperation for a water infrastructure project. A consortium comprising Northeast Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, China Energy Engineering Group Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., and UET signed an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a grid demonstration project. Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov and Qiao Xubin, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Energy China International, attended the signing ceremony and held talks. Both sides agreed to leverage this opportunity to accelerate the implementation of all cooperative initiatives, promote more collaborative projects, and empower the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future.
