On December 4 local time, the China-Kenya Friendship Games commenced at Nyayo National Stadium in Kenya. The opening ceremony was attended by Guo Haiyan, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, Zhou Zhencheng, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Kenya, and Elijah Mwangi, Principal Secretary for Sports of Kenya. As a long-serving Chinese-funded enterprise in Kenya and a director unit of the Kenya-China Economic and Trade Association (KCETA), CEEC attached great importance to the event and fielded a delegation of over 50 employees.

The event featured both track and field events, and fun team-building games. The track and field events tested speed and endurance, while the fun games focused on teamwork and joy, ensuring a balance between professionalism and participation. After intense competition, Grace Mumbi, a local CEEC employee, won the women’s long jump title, and CEEC took home the Best Organization Award.
